Integraal child center Het Baken is a Christian child center with a toddler group and after-school care, located in Capelle aan den IJssel in the Schollevaar district. We form an IKC with the Protestant Christian primary school Het Baken.

Opening hours

Our regular opening hours are from Monday to Friday from 07:30 - 18:00 with the option to request late care until 18:30 by appointment.

Getr used

We believe it is important for a child to have the time to get used to being with us. This always happens in consultation with the parents. Ample time is taken for the first introduction and acclimatization. More information about the adaptation procedure can be found in our work plan.

Themes

At Het Baken's preschool group, we work with themes. These themes are composed based on the VE method Uk & Puk and in consultation with the primary school where the location is based. By introducing new themes, variety, originality, and creativity are realized within the childcare centers. This allows children to be offered new materials and activities, expanding their 'world'. The aim is to stimulate all areas of development through the activities.
